Our family discovered Creede in the early 2000's, and it was love at first snow. All the scenery you can chew and the familiarity of good people all around made the town a mountain oasis that needed to be made available to everyone... so in early 2008 as the market began to change, we set out to carve out a cozy spot for all to feel welcome and experience what some of us enjoy year-round.

Five cabins and a house, gutted and remade with love and care, followed by two apartments in the summer of 2022 make Silver Thread Escape the best getaway no matter what the occasion. When we aren't hosting wedding parties, we're housing for the hardworking miners drilling for silver, musicians of the Head Waters Music Festival, or the actors from our nationally recognized repertory theater!
